Question 1.Please let us know more about your journey, how and from where you started?
I have started my journey in 1992 as a pre-primary teacher in an English Med school at kanpur. But my dedication and passion for teaching and scaling high spirit soon promoted me to TGT Social Science and then PGT English and Pol. Sci. Initial 10 years I worked as teacher in kanpur itself. During this period beside my subject teaching i learnt to make daily routine for teachers, coordinate with other faculty and other administrative work as admission councelor etc. As I wanted to explore myself so I joined Prof Rajendra Public school at Firozabad as Senior faculty but my administrative skill and pedagogical leadership quality has promoted me to the position of Vice-Principal in the year 2003.Since then there is no looking back. I had worked as founder principal in two reputed schools as Seth M.R.Jaipuria School, Sultanpur and Durgapur Public School,Raiganj-W.B. I feel that my vast academic experience of 26 years and my passion for teaching and continuous researching resource material for students, teachers and my management staunch faith in my working has made made me a successful principal.

Question 2. Being a Change-maker, how can you contribute towards the betterment of the community of Teachers and Principals?
I have an experience of establishing a new school from scratch to a decent height my own. Also very well versed in cbse affiliation and conducting board examination . How to become a team leader and connect with neighbourhood community, I can share my views and can motivate and counsel them.

Question 3. What kind of support would you like to provide to teachers and fellow educators?
Answering their queries related to career advancement on Forum., Mentoring and guiding fellow educators.

Question 4.Please mention some of your skills that can help community members.
I can take orientation and workshop and can be the resource person for Community Building Program(CBP). I had successfully conducted CBSE CBP program on Life-skill in 2019.

Question 5.The transition from an individual contributor to a leadership role must have required specific skills, what skills do you think are critical for teachers for such transition? Were there any challenges as well, If yes then how did you overcome those challenges?
One should be a team leader and must know how to change weakness into strength.Your research and academic excellence can make you a great leader. You should be a good orator and know how to connect with your stake holders be it parents, guardians, teachers, students and management with convincing power which can create trust among all. Bossy attitude and Ego could be a big challenge and can fail you as a leader.

Question 6. How would you describe your leadership style?
Upgrade and update yourself.Should be a good listener then only you can resolve any problem. you are the role model hence keep well balance in your personal and professional life. Act before reaction.

Question 7. What advice would you give to a new teacher?
One must have passion and dedication for teaching as its not bed of roses. Google, khan academy , Baiju are providing knowledge etc hence act like facilitator and refine your technique so students wont get your substitute. Be a techno savvy.

Question 8.What would be your ideal school environment, and how would you encourage that kind of culture?
Management and principal are the two wheels of a chariot hence both of them must run with same pace. if any one will not put effort then chariot will not run smoothly . If Krishna was not the Saarthi of Arjuna then there would have been a different result of Mahabharata. Management(Saarthi) need to provide adequate resources and directions to Principal(Arjuna) so that an ideal environment can be created in school.

Question 9. How would you develop an inclusive environment in your school?
An inclusive school or classroom can only be successful when all students feel they are truely part of the school community whether they are weak, average or gifted. This can only happen through open, honest discussion about differences and understanding and respecting people from all abilities and backgrounds. Equal opportunity and platform can be provided during assembly or through other activities.

Question 10.As the position of a Principal requires intense time management, how do you organize your day to meet the plethora of requirements and commitments required as the School Principal?
I am the principal in my current school last 9 years. Its a day-boarding cum residential school where your presence requires 24X7. Hence you need to designate people to get timely feedback. Your leadership competency, charismatic personality, trust, strategic planning, well planned yearly calendar, target results, initiation,and resilience helps you to manage your time.

Question 11. What is your opinion on the use of technology in classrooms? Were there any challenges that you faced in integrating technology?
Technology is the part and parcel of 21st century classroom. And in this covid-19 pandemic it has proved its indispensability. Flip classroom, hybrid teaching will be the need of hour.

Question 12.Do you feel there are any gaps in the present education system? If so, how do you feel one can fill those gaps?
New schools are opening like mushrooms every year. Quality somewhere compromised when many Quantity is available. Education has become a Lucrative industry nowadays. People are opening schools not to maintain standard but to gain profit. This thinking we have to check.
Nowadays there is a rat race to prove xyz is the best school. In this blind rat race Value Education and Life skills are compromised to some extent. Market trends can set Fashion but not education. Let Education institute be the 'Temple of Learning'.

Question 13. Would you like to share any specific message to the community of teachers and principals?
In this ever changing society, the role of teachers is most important in shaping the attitude and character of a child. We have to provide them skills which can teach them not only to get numbers but to learn and accept failures as a part of life and fight back. We need to prepare them for challenges of life after schooling. So inspire and motivate set targets for long term but not short term.
