D.A.V College, Abohar was established in 1960 under the guidance of D.A.V College Managing Committee to cater to the needs of the area. Dayanand Anglo-Vedic institutions need no introduction in the field of education. These are materialization of the dreams of a great visionary Swami Dayanand who stood for truth, righteousness and good conduct. Founder principal was Sh. N.D. Grover who left no stone unturned in raising this institute to the peak of glory. Sh. V.N. Chawla, Sh. M.L. Sekhri, Sh. V.B. Mehra, Sh. H.R. Gandhar, Dr. B.C. Josan, Dr. B.B. Sharma and Dr. S.K. Arora have been the visionaries par excellence in this chain of principals whose untiring and inspiring efforts helped this college make a mark in every field.
