It begins with choosing the right pair of scissors which are specially designed for the toddlers. After getting the adaptive scissors, you must focus on helping the children the right grip by showing them how to hold it correctly. Help them place thumb, index and middle finger correctly in the wholes while making them practice how to open/close their scissors. Next step would be to make them practice by cutting along the lines drawn on paper, which could proceed to circles, triangles or various other shapes later. Then teach them how to make paper fringes and finally share the safety rules. Bingo! Your kids are ready to experiment with this new tool!
