St. Marys Orthodox School, Kanpur

St. Mary’s Orthodox School was established in 1979. This Co-Educational English Medium School was lighted for life as an educational venture of the St. Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church Society, Kanpur, which is under the jurisdiction of Delhi Diocese of The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. In the year 1977, with the request of the Society, K.D.A. allotted the land for running a School, a Church and a Clinic. It is a minority institution based on the minority rights guaranteed by the Indian Constitution. Christian Educational Institutions are part of the Church’s effort to share in the country’s educational undertaking. This effort, while recognising a special responsibility towards the Christian Community, has always been at the service of the whole nation irrespective of their castes and religions.
