CTET 2020 Exam Dates, Eligibility, Age Limit and Application Fees
Candidates appearing in the CTET 2020 exam must keep themselves up to date about CTET 2020 exam dates, so they can prepare well and finish their revision of the syllabus before time. Doing this, they'll be able to secure good marks in their CTET 2020 Exam (December Session).
CTET 2020 exam date has already been confirmed in the official notification of CTET 2020 exam (December session). The purpose of the test is to recruit Primary and Upper Primary Teachers for schools across the country.
Candidates who want to teach Class I to V need to take Paper I exam and those who want to teach Class V to VIII need to take Paper II exam.
The capabilities of candidates to teach primary and upper primary level students are thoroughly checked in both Paper I and Paper II respectively.
Application forms can be filled online on its official website (https://ctet.nic.in/) by 24-02-2020 up to 15:30 Hrs.

- CTET 2020 exam online registration/application through www.ctet.nic.in started from 24th of January 2020 and is open till 24th February 2020
- In order to complete the registration, candidates need to fill their personal and academic details along with the registration fee mentioned below.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2020
For Primary Teachers (I - V) |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed). OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR |
“Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” |
For Elementary Teachers (VI - VIII) |
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR |

For Upper Primary Sanskrit and English Teachers |
Bachelor’s degree with Sanskrit/English as the main subject. AND |
Passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. / B.Ed. special degree from NCTE/RCI approved institutes. OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A.Ed. with English/Sanskrit as a major subject. |
For Primary Urdu Teachers |
1. Bachelor’s or Post Graduate Degree with Urdu as the main subject from recognized university. AND |
Passed or appearing in the final year of 1-year/2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR |
Passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR |
Moallim-E-Urdu Degree holder before 11-08-1997. |
For Upper Primary Urdu Teachers |
1. Bachelor’s Degree with Urdu as the main subject from recognized university. AND |
Passed or appearing in the final year of 1-year/2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR |
Passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. / B.Ed. special degree from NCTE/RCI approved institutes. OR |

A candidate as per his/her category must fall within the given age brackets for CTET Exam 2020:
