UPTET Exam Pattern 2019, Selection Process & Passing Marks
UPTET Exam Pattern 2019: Candidates appearing in the UPTET 2019 exam must go through the exam pattern, so they can score better in the UPTET 2019 Exam.
There are no changes made in the UPTET Exam pattern 2019 so far. The exam pattern is almost the same as the Teacher Eligibility Tests of other states. As per the UPTET exam pattern candidates need to opt for Paper I or Paper II.
Candidates who want to teach Class I to V need to take Paper I exam and those who want to teach Class V to VIII need to take Paper II exam.
Capabilities of candidates to teach primary and upper primary level students are thoroughly checked in both Paper I and Paper II respectively.
As per the UPTET exam pattern 2019, the test will be conducted offline and both Paper I and II will have objective type MCQs.
UPTET Exam pattern 2019 for both the papers are almost similar except the difficulty level of the papers and specific sections for Maths/Science and Social Science.

- This paper focuses on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to classes 1 to 5.
- Topics in this paper focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
- UPTET Syllabus is based on the topics given in NCERT Books of class I-V.
- The section on Maths and EVS evaluates a candidate on his facts, concepts, and understanding of the subject.
- Language papers simply test the candidate for skills of instructions medium. Language I and Language II cannot be the same.

- UPTET Syllabus of Paper 2 focuses on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to classes 6 to 8.
- Candidates interested in Maths or Science have to choose OPTION A and candidates interested in social science should attempt OPTION B.

UPTET Passing Marks & Selection Process
- Candidate must secure a minimum of 60% marks (55% for reserved category) to qualify the entrance exam.
- Candidates who are qualified will be awarded the UPTET Eligibility Certificate which is valid for 5 years.

- They will be offered jobs in affiliated schools as per merit.
- Candidates can receive their UPTET Eligibility Certificate from the District Education Board by providing a copy of UPTET 2019 Admit Card and Photo Identity Card.
There are no restrictions on numbers of attempts. So, in case you feel you can score better marks, you may sit for the exam.
